It's
almost over - third contact!
This scene shows the disappearing of the corona
at the third contact. The moon is moving upwards and even after the 3rd contact the corona
was visible some seconds (here shown nearly in real time).
|
The shadow is "flying" away (I didn't see it).
|
14:15
Totality is over, other sun pictures on the ground (compare with page 5).
|
With
a big applause we said "good bye" to the moon.
Don't forget to come to Germany in 1999! |
..Everything worked fine and we had some Amstel eclipse beers now.
|
Proudly wearing the T-Shirts now.
|
Slowly
the moon disappeared
|
It was still nice to see the partial eclipsed sun, but the best was
really over.
|
The picture Otto is taking here, you can see with description of his instruments on his
website (see "Exit")
|
Peter is checking with the GPS our position.
(I heard that everything was ok!)
|
|
The official finish of our observation
was an extensive use of the pool. We enjoyed it. In the evening we
visited the "jazzy eclipse" concert in Willemstad (see
"Eclipse and tourism) |
The best day was over.
Have a look on impressions of Curacao on the next
